The BET Awards, which celebrate black performances in music, culture and sports, were presented on Sunday.

Hosted by Taraji P. Henson, Lizzo launched his latest hit “About Damn Time”.

However, there are also moments of joy. Brandi surprised with Jack Harlow, while Mariah Carey hit an impressive treble in Lotto’s amazing performance.

Sean “Daddy” Coombs received the Lifetime Achievement Award. It is celebrated by many fellow artists and former colleagues, such as Marie Jay Blaze and Kenny West.

Will Smith sparked controversy at the Oscars by taking Chris Rock to the stage shortly before he won the Best Actor Oscar on Sunday.

After spectacular tribute performances, which included the likes of Judy, Marie Jay Blaze, Lil Kim, and Daddy himself, an unidentified Ye shook a mask covering his entire face, the 52-year-old rapper’s eloquent speech. Talking about, he called her “brother”.

“This man has gone through a lot and survived by breaking down many doors so that we can stand here (here),” you said. “It broke down many doors of class, taste, culture and mourning.”

In his acceptance speech, Daddy thanked the many people who helped him along the way, but he also shared a dream he still has to achieve.

Sean “Daddy” Coombs accepted the Lifetime Achievement Award at the BET Awards on Sunday, June 26, 2022 at the Microsoft Theater in Los Angeles.

“I fulfilled the dream of black freedom,” DD said. “I dream that we can control our own destiny. I dream that we take responsibility and stop killing each other. I dream that we become rich and live in the same neighborhood. My dream. Let’s unite. ”
